Weddings can be such a fun, exhilarating time and lucky for this type A planner, it was a great experience. I wanted an alternative customized wedding guestbook and this is what I came up with. Hopefully this blog post inspires you to add a creative spin to your guestbook selection!
I knew that I could use my local vocational high school’s graphic design department to create these books. Working with the designer, I told them what I wanted in the books. They created a draft and sent it over to me for approval. The high school students printed and bound them after I approved their draft. This was a great way to get everyone’s feedback on different topics and ideas that we could try that we may not have had already. It was fun to see what people had to say about each topic.
Alternative Customized Wedding Guestbook Topics:
- Where to fly to
- Where to road trip to
- What to try
- What to experience
- Which restaurant to go to
My husband and I are actually going on a trip to Puerto Rico which was several peoples’ suggestions. Our guests also left some restaurant suggestions and things to do in Puerto Rico so we’ll look into that while we are there too!
I think this alternative customized wedding guestbook was a fun conversational starter at the table and served as an icebreaker for the unacquainted guests sitting together.
Wedding can be a very stressful time for many people. Planning and coordinating isn’t for everyone and I get it! Perusing Pinterest is such a great way to find inspiration. There are great ideas on there and I think creating a wedding board is a great start to the wedding planning process.
