The Story
Every nursery should tell a story. For this woodland-inspired space, I wanted to create a calm, nature-inspired room that felt both whimsical and functional while demonstrating that meaningful design doesn’t require buying everything new.
By repurposing existing furniture, building custom shelving, and incorporating handmade artwork, I transformed the room into a cohesive space that reflects creativity, craftsmanship, and intentional living.

Curated Artwork: The room was finished with thoughtfully selected artwork, including: Woodland animal prints sourced from Etsy and a handmade woodland painting created by an independent artist.
These pieces added personality while supporting small creative businesses.
Repurposed Changing Table
Instead of replacing an existing changing table, I refinished it by painting it to perfectly coordinate with the nursery’s color palette, giving it a completely refreshed look.

Woodland Bookshelf Transformation
An outdated white and pink bookshelf was completely reimagined using woodland animal contact paper as a decorative backing and freshly painted gray drawers to complement the room’s neutral color palette. Read more about the process here.
Handmade Floating Shelves
To maximize both storage and visual interest, I designed and built custom wooden shelves.
This project included: measuring • cutting lumber • reinforcing shelves with screw using a drill • sanding • painting • installation • styling
The Story
Beautiful outdoor furniture often comes with a luxury price tag. This project proves that with thoughtful planning, quality materials, and a little craftsmanship, it’s possible to achieve the same elevated aesthetic for a fraction of the cost. What inspired me was that the benches I saw in stores weren’t as long as I wanted.
Using dimensional lumber, power tools, and a custom stain finish, I built a Pottery Barn-inspired outdoor dining bench designed to complement an outdoor gathering space while staying within budget.

Creative Vision
I believe beautiful homes don’t have to be built with brand-new furniture. By looking beyond a piece’s current condition and focusing on its potential, I create transformations that blend creativity, craftsmanship, and thoughtful design. Each project reflects my passion for giving furniture new purpose while creating spaces that feel warm, inviting, and uniquely personal.
